“There’s some very funny things on the internet where, you know, they used to compare Keith to a cockroach and say ‘Everything will be dead except Keith Richards and cockroaches’. Now that’s changed, you know, they are beginning to give a bit more respect and there’s a lovely thing that says ‘What kind of world are we going to leave for Keith Richards?’. What indeed?”

One of my definitive favourite Marianne Faithfull songs if not the favourite. Interestingly this song is the only one on the eponymous live album that was actually recorded in the studio. Supposedly it’s a remnant of a shelved studio album produced by Steve Winwood.
There seems to be a lot of confusion about the photo on the right. The woman in it is misidentified more often than not, so I thought I’d clear things up.
On the left you have a photo of Pattie Boyd from a make-up tutorial series published in various issues of 16 Magazine throughout late 1965.
A few years ago Lula Magazine recreated this series as a fashion editorial for their 14th issue published in 2012. The photographer is Jessie Lily Adams.
So on the right you have photo from said editorial. The model is Edie Campbell. It’s not Pattie Boyd, it’s not Marianne Faithfull, it’s not even from the 1960s.
